Michael began performing onstage at the age of 7 in the musical Oliver, where he played a member of Fagin’s gang. Now, over forty years later, his love of the theater continues to grow. Michael has had the privilege of playing several of his dream roles, including Harold Hill (The Music Man), Ebenezer Scrooge (A Christmas Carol), and Joseph (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat). His love for theatre isn’t restricted to acting and directing. He enjoys building sets, painting, and special effects as well. Michael is the owner of Blackston Arts Etching and founder of Blackston Arts Onstage. His writing endeavors also lean toward the stage, having completed two full-length plays (Mr. Long Said Nothing and Friends Like You), two one-act scripts (an award winning adaptation of Mr. Long Said Nothing and a new script titled, The List), and two works of fiction (the novelization of Mr. Long Said Nothing and a Christian thriller titled, Shoeshine Drop.) Michael is co-worship leader at First Baptist Church in Elberton, Ga alongside his wife, Jessica. He has two children, Noah and Merida, who are both a part of this production. He would like to thank God for gifting him with a love for the theater, his mother for nurturing it, and his wife and children for sharing it with him.
