A strange and unusual plant seems like just the thing to save the troubled Skid Row flower shop and its unfortunate employees, Seymour and Audrey. But when that plant turns out to feed on human blood alone with plans of world domination… well, things get messy.

The Cast & Crew

Noah Blackston (Seymour Krelborn – Pineapple Cast) Noah is excited to perform his first leading role as an adult, but his stage experience started around age five. He had the privilege of performing the title role of Oliver at age 8, and has had a passion for the stage ever since. Other stage credits include Warner in Legally Blonde, Jr., Troy in High School Musical, Jr., Jack in Newsies, Jr., and Mr. Long in the one-act adaptation of Mr. Long Said Nothing, where he won Best Actor in the region honors. Other than theatre, his interests include music, marching band, and gaming. Noah would like to thank his family for supporting his endeavors, and is excited to continue to bring his talents to the stage in the future.
Elna Brynestad (Music Director/ Puppeteer) is happy to be joining HCCT as music director after a hiatus from theater. She has been leading small choral and instrumental groups in various capacities since 2004. Her involvement with puppetry began when she played the role of both Kaa in The Jungle Book, so she is also delighted to assist with Audrey II’s movement in Little Shop of Horrors.
Lisa Crescenzo (Audrey – Pineapple Cast) Growing up in New York and New Jersey, Lisa participated in dance, gymnastics, chorus, school performances, cheerleading, and martial arts. While attending Mercyhurst University, where she earned her Master’s degree in Applied Intelligence, she starred in her first play, Adult Entertainment, at the Erie Playhouse. She is so grateful to her husband Dave, whose coaching, haranguing and encouragement allowed her to check another dream off of her bucket list. Also, her rescue parrot and singing partner Coco, who changed the words to all the songs. Lisa sends an enormous thank you to HCCT staff and volunteers for such an amazing experience.
Rickey Eberhardt (Audrey II) is no stranger to the HCCT stage. Season 43’s efforts to revive the HCCT stage also revived his love and passion for the craft. As a major player from And Then There Were None to Sound of Music, he is thrilled to sink his roots into the role of Audrey II to kick off Season 44. Giving a voice to the Mean, Green Mutha from Outer Space is an honor and a privilege. Thank you to HCCT board of directors and members for seeing beyond this old plant’s wicked history and allowing him to entertain the Hart County Community. #MUSTBEFRESH #FEEDME
Malcolm Haymes (Mr. Mushnik) is proud to be performing for the first time with HCCT. His past performances include The Crucible, 13 Hours, and directing Midsummer Night’s Dream among many others. He was nominated for a Jeff Award for directing “Laughter on the 23rd Floor” in Chicago IL. Thanks a lot to Lani, Elna and the rest of the team.
Morgan Haymes (Ronnette) Morgan is so excited to be in HCCT’s production of Little Shop of Horrors. Morgan has always loved theater, participating in shows such as Ella Enchanted, Peter Pan, Secret Garden, Wizard of Oz, and many more! Morgan is in the process of learning theater tech and hopes to become very good offstage and onstage. She is grateful for her family and friends’ help throughout the production.
Jeffery Hearn (Assistant Director) is from Whitesburg, GA who has worked as a theatre tech for Midnight Productions Inc in Newtown, PA. He has been seen doing design for every level of productions through 13 Stories Haunted House, Cinema Greens while doing prop fabrications for The Walking Dead. This is his 9th production involvement here at HCCT. Previously working on Sound of Music, Cheaper by the Dozen, A Christmas Carol, Harvey’s Midnight Carnival of Illusions, And Then There Were None, Mr. Long Said Nothing, The Secret Garden and Harvey’s Twisted Birthday Party Haunted House.
Alexandria LeBar (Ensemble/Stage Crew) plays in the ensemble. Alexandria is an 8th grader at HCMS and she is also in the choir program. Alexandria participates with the local 4h program as a part of judging teams. Alexandria has been in many plays at HCCT including The Secret Garden, Alice in Wonderland , A Christmas Carol, and being crew for both Cheaper by the Dozen and the Sound of Music. She wants to be a Broadway star when she grows up. Alexandria wants to thank her mom for supporting her.
Andrea LeBar (Stage Crew)
Sanna Laird (Captain of Puppets) This is Sanna’s fourth production with HCCT, but a first time puppeteer. She has always had an appreciation for the skill, and was very excited to finally get a chance to learn all about it. She is especially thankful for Jeff Hearn’s crafting expertise, her puppet crew and everyone who volunteered their time to bring the theater alive with copious amounts of vegetation.
Simon List (Ensemble/Puppeteer) Simon is very excited to be a part of LSOH at Hart County Community Theater. He has been involved with HCCT for over three years and always looks forward to expressing his love of theater on stage. He attends Hart County Middle School and spends his time learning drums, playing video games and spending time with his family.
Roe Macpherson (Crystal) is a 9th grader at Elberton Comprehensive High School. She has been in many shows; favorites include Lion King, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Fiddler on the Roof, Beauty and the Beast, and Sound of Music. She loves to collect bottle caps and give them to friends, namely, Gracely, who has been nothing short of an inspiration, and role model. Roe hopes you will enjoy the show!!!
Lizz Murphy (Audrey/Ensemble – Passionfruit Cast) This is Lizz’s third time acting onstage here at HCCT. Previously being seen as Wynni in Mr. Long Said Nothing and Christmas Carol, before HCCT she was seen as a DooWop Girl in Little Shop of Horrors, Titania in Midsummer’s Night’s Dream, Ruth in Effects of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds and many more. She is on the Board of Directors for HCCT, also directed Cheaper By the Dozen and And Then There Were None last season. She is excited to finally share the stage with all these talented people.
Julie Newsome (Ensemble/Bernstein) is excited to be back on the stage. Her current favorite role was a nun in The Sound of Music (her fav musical). She still considers herself a newcomer to HCCT with this being her 4th production. She is grateful for the many great friends she has gained through HCCT .She loves being able to share the stage with her grandchildren and her husband, Ray. Looking forward to many more productions.
Ray Newsome (Skip Snip/Ensemble) is excited to be a part of Little Shop. This is his 3rd performance with HCCT. This is his first opportunity to have a singing role in a musical. He had such a great time with Sound of Music that he wanted to be a part of another musical. He loves sharing the stage with his wife, Julie, and granddaughter, Sydney. He hopes you enjoy the show!
Adrianna Pennington (Customer/Ensemble/Puppeteer) is no stranger to the HCCT stage. She has been in several children’s workshops and two junior workshops. Favorite roles include Mary from The Secret Garden, Queen of Hearts in Alice In Wonderland Jr. and Martha in Cheaper By the Dozen. She is a competition gymnast and a middle school choir student. Adrianna enjoys singing, shopping, writing, and going on trips. Her number one dream is to be Christine Daae on Broadway. Adrianna would like to give a huge thanks to her Mom, Amber Pennington, for everything and all the people at HCCT.
Amber Pennington (Ensemble/Martin) Amber Pennington made her HCCT stage debut in the holiday classic A Christmas Carol. Following that, Amber was then seen as Ms. Brill in Cheaper By the Dozen. Her two daughters, Adrianna and Kennedi, have performed in many children’s workshops and other shows at HCCT over the years. Amber is a Special Education Teacher at Royston Elementary School. When not at work or driving her girls around to their numerous activities, Amber enjoys crafting, hiking, and all things Disney.
Sydney Pricket (Ensemble/Puppeteer) Sydney is a 7th grader at Hart County Middle School. She is excited to be a part of this production! Sydney has previously performed in Cheaper by the Dozen, Christmas Carol, and The Sound of Music! Sydney would like to thank her sister for encouraging her love of theater and her nana for getting her to rehearsals! Hope you enjoy the show!
Katherine Ripley (Ensemble/Crew) is a Freshman at Hart County High School. Katherine, known to his friends as Kade, has done several productions with HHCCT, including The Secret Garden and two of HCCT’s haunted houses, Harvey’s Twisted Birthday Party and Harvey’s Midnight Carnival of Illusions. Kade is15 and enjoys reading and performing with the chorus. Kade would like to thank their friend Morgan for always believing in them, and Mrs. Lani for guidance.
Lani Sessoms (Director) Lani has been active in the dramatic arts for most of her life. She began her dramatic journey as a teen, creating costumes for contests. That led to costuming for festivals, replications and, eventually, theatrical productions. Lani has plenty of on and offstage experience. She has had the privilege of working for several Metro Atlanta area theaters, either as an actress, a costumer, a director, or as an arts and production manager. Lani is the 2005 recipient of the Metro Atlanta Theater award (MAT) for Best Lead Actress in a Musical. Her costume designs have been twice nominated for MAT awards. Lani taught drama for the Montessori Schools of Georgia for 18 years. Now retired, Lani has enjoyed volunteering her time and talents here at HCCT. So much so that she is the current President of the HCCT Board of Directors. She also directed The Secret Garden for HCCT in 2021. Lani is so thankful for the support of her husband, Lee and her amazing children. Please, enjoy the show.
Ethan Smith (Seymour Krelborn – Passionfruit Cast) Excited to play Seymour, this is Ethan’s first production with Hart County community theatre. He has previously directed multiple shows with Franklin Community Players, although his last time on the stage was with ACT in their 2018 production of Newsies.
Bradley Sullivan (Stage Manager) is a new Hartwell resident from out of state. He has 2 nephews, 3 nieces, and a dog (Oddie) that he loves to spend his free time with. This will be his first stage manager experience since High School, having performed in Show Choir, Band, and being behind the stage in High School. His passions include cooking, gaming, and being with his loved ones. He wants to thank Rickey for believing in him, Sonya (Mother) and Will (Father) for never leaving his side, and Amanda for always supporting him.
August Thompson (Customer/Ensemble/Crew) This is August’s 10th role with Hart County Community Theater. Among the roles he’s enjoyed are Frank, Jr. in Cheaper By the Dozen, Topper in A Christmas Carol, Young Simba in The Lion King, Jr., King Louie in The Jungle Book, Jr., Tootles in Peter Pan, Jr., Grandpa Joe in Willie Wonka, Jr, The Mad Hatter, in Alice in Wonderland, and a cowboy in Cactus Wildcat. August is a 7th grader at Hart County Middle School who enjoys traveling and pursuing his craft. August loves Hart County Community Theater and is truly thankful for all the friends he’s made. He thanks God for this wonderful opportunity.
Gracelyn Watkins (Chiffon) is a 16 year old who lives in Jackson County, GA but considers Hart to be her second home. She is playing the role as Chiffon in the best trio on Skid Row. She previously played Liesl in Sound of Music. She hopes you enjoy the show.
Jennifer White (Asst.Stage Manager) A retired park ranger and recent émigré from the Ohio Snowbelt, Jennifer is basking delightedly in your amazing Georgia heat and humidity. She loves reading, and is excited to be involved in local theater!
Ryker Williams (Puppeteer/Ensemble) This is Ryker’s 5th main production here at HCCT, previously being seen as Collin in The Secret Garden, Peter Cratchit in A Christmas Carol and Fred in Cheaper By the Dozen. He is so excited to be working with his friends in this production. When he isn’t on the stage he enjoys playing baseball and football.
Joshua Wright (Orin Scrivello) has been doing Stage Productions for several years now. Joshua has a love for rats, spiders, gold and loves long walks on the beach. Joshua wants to give thanks to his mother and father for their unending love and support and special thanks to his sister in law Abbe for helping him learn to sing for this role.
Phoebe York (Ensemble/Crew) Phoebe is a middle school honor student. She has found a home at HCCT over the last year and loves helping in any capacity. This is her 3rd stage production- most recently as Joe Scales in Cheaper by the Dozen. When not at the theater she enjoys reading, music, running track, and is a member of the Hart County 4-H. She would like to thank her moms for supporting her interests and her discovery in who she wants to be. She would like to thank her moms for supporting all her passions.
Kathy Zakroczynski (Ensemble/Ms. Luce) Kathy would like to first thank her family and friends for their support as well as the members of the HCCT for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing production. After being away for over 30 years, Kathy returned to the theater as a nun in HCCT’s Season 43 production of The Sound of Music. She is excited to a part of the cast of Little Shop of Horrors! Kathy has performed in many productions during high school and college including Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, and her favorite role of Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music. Kathy lives in Carnesville, GA and works as a traveling nurse practitioner.

The Hart County Community Theatre (HCCT), has been entertaining the Hartwell community since 1979.
